This Colorado study guide/manual contains the educational information needed by the pesticide applicator to pass the written state licensing examination in the agricultural-insects category. The manual examines farming practices and integrated pest mechanical, legal, cultural, reproductive and chemical control. Insect pests are listed alphabetically, described by damage and illustrated, and possible suggestions of effective control to aid the applicator with identification and treatment selection. Monitoring guidelines and scouting methods are suggested. Special considerations of pesticide use discussed include phytotoxicity, drift, and persistence. Application techniques and equipment are described. Calibration tables and formulas are given.
