The main objectives of this study are to study and to know more profoundly about local transmigration in Lampung Province, focusing especially on the factors influencing the transmigration family farming. The primary data were obtained from respondents of 200 households, with an interview technique completed with questionnaires. Whereas the secondary data were collected from the services and institutions related to the research topic. Observations were conducted to know farming activities, land condition, topography as well as public facilities and infrastructure conditions. The data analysis used were simple and multi regression methods and table analysis. The result of this study are as follows; 1. the tranportation condition to the research area at present time is still very unappropriate and this influences the high transportation cost and diminishes the development of the area, 2. the climate and soil condition are suitable for the dry land farming, but an effort to avoid erosion is still needed, 3. the income earned by the transmigrant household from their farming is mostly still low, 4. the average total area of the cultivated land for farming by the transmigrant household is 1.2 of the 2 hectares owned by the household, 5. farming capital of the transmigrant household rate is still low, 6. most of the transmigrant households are still dependent on land cultivation using simple technology, 7. the role of KUD has just reached 5.5 percent of the sample household in encouraging the farming products marketing.
