The publication reviews the factors influencing the production of aflatoxins in foods and their biochemical effects, especially their interaction with DNA and their effects on the liver. It also focuses attention on other mycotoxins present in foods and finally considers the likelyhood of aflatoxicoses and other mycotoxicoses in Ghana as a basis for further research work.
