In 360 Polish Large White and Polish Landrace sows in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reproductive cycle the pregnancy and delivery duration was analysed. Average pregnancy duration in sows of both breeds was 113.67 days, and delivery duration - 236 min., with no significant differences between two groups. Statistically significant negative correlation coefficient was found between delivery duration and number of piglets in the litter. The highest percentage of dead born piglets was observed in numerous litters. In all litters in the study the number of males was slightly higher than that of females.
