This study was conducted to estimate the economic efficacy of silaged barley on feedings to dairy cattle. According to the results of the partial budgeting analysis, the social cost saving effects by the silaged barley compared with conventional feeding treatment (feed cost 267.5 thousand won/head/year) were measured at 30.6 percent for rye silage (feed cost 185,7 thousand won/head/year) and 38.8 percent for barley silage (feed cost 163.6 thousand won/head/year). The economic break even points of the silaged barley were calculated as 81 won at rye silaged treatment and 62 won at barley silage treatment based on 191 won per kg of conventional feeding treatment.
