Experiment of the effect of soil moisture modification on the soil adsorption of herbicide Imazapyr has been done in Long Ashton research station, UK. In this experiment ring labelled 14 C has been used after previously mixed with pure Imazapyr to give the activity of 10000 dpm l. Treatments in this experiment consisted of three factors, i.e. dose, soil type and soil moisture treatments. The herbicide applied were 4 and 10 g herbicide/g soil. Soil type were Mendip and Begbroke soil with 8 percent and 2 percent organic matter content. Soil moisture treatments were application at air dry soil, 50 percent and 100 percent of field capacity, application at 50 percent of field capacity followed by drying, and application at 100 percent of field capacity followed by drying. Result shows that application at soil with low moisture increased Imazapyr adsorption. Soil drying after Imazapyr application tends to increase Imazapyr adsoprtion especially in the soil with low organic matter content.
