The amount of nymph intake by the toad was evaluated under controlled condition to determine its potential as a predator. Previously fasted 120-150 g toads collected at wild condition, were released singly in enclosures containing known number of first to second instar nymphs allowed to undertake maximum feed intake. A healthy toad registered a mean (maximum) intake of 58.5 nymphs for 210 minutes feeding duration. Also noted was the nymph appendages that disintegrated 300 minutes after feed intake. Said food was found at the Bufo's large intestines 600 minutes after food ingestion.
