Ipil-ipil plants established in double hedgerows produced abundant herbage more than enough for use as organic fertilizer to intercropped green corn, "malagkit". Moreover, it was found out that at 75 and 50 percent ipil-ipil herbage utilization, yield of intercropped green corn plants was also comparable to those plants fertilized with 80-0-0 kg inorganic NPK per hectare. The potential and marketable green corn yield were highest on those plots where ipil-ipil leaves were solely utilized as organic fertilizer. Corn stover yield and corn ear length were higher on those plots applied with high amount of organic nitrogen, 143.5 kg N per hectare. Total organic N, available phosphorus and exchangeable potassium showed a slight increased at the end of the study. Soil pH decrease from an average of 6.16 at the start of the study to 5.69 at the end of the study.
