In order to evaluate the variability of phenotypical correlations of certain traits, 33 varieties of raspberries were tested over the years 1989-1992 at the Research Institute for Fruits and Ornamental Woody Plants, Bojnice (Slovak Republic). The variability of the studied traits (total yield of fruits, refractometric dry matter, content of acids, content of ascorbic acid and content of sugars) was significantly influenced by climatic factors and by varietal genotypes. Positive phenotypical correlations were observed between refractometric dry matter and sugar content, refractometric dry matter and ascorbic acid content, ascorbic acid content and sugar content. Negative correlations were calculated between total yield and sugar content, total yield and ascorbic acid content and total yield and refractometric dry matter. The most productive variety was Granat.
