Phytogeography of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India.

Phytogeographical affinity of Andaman and Nicobar archipelago with Sundaland and other adjoining bio-geographical regions in South East Asia is detailed and the conservation of extra-Indian species distributed in the isles which do not occur in mainland India is emphasized. The high degree of endemism among the angiospermic taxa is also discussed.
