One of the most danger pest of oil seed rape in Poland is pollen beetle - Meligethes aeneus F. (Coleoptera: Nititulidae). In the experiment - 3 varieties of winter rape: Gorczanski, Jet Neuf and Jantar were used. Damage done by this pest on the main stem was simulated. Eight factors were evaluated during harvest time. It was found that during two years of experiments the difference between damaged and healthy plants was not observed. In some cases the yield and number of pods was higher in the plants are able to compensate even the heavy infestations.
