Bio-assay of the effectiveness of five systemic fungicides was carried out in vitro against growth and development of Phytophthora parasitica Dast., the isolate NK1 with causes foot rot disease of betel vine (Piper betle Linn.) at Nongkai province. The results were recorded by determining the radial growth of certain fungal colony on each amended potato dextrose agar treatment. The growth and development of fungal colonies was shown completely inhibited on media amended with chev. RE-20615 (15 % WP), benalaxyl (Galben 10 % WP), etridiazole (Terrazole 35 % WP), and metalaxyl (Ridomil 25 % WP) at 10, 25, 50 and 500 ppm ai, respectively. Complete inhibition was not observed when fosetyl aluminium (Aliette 80 % WP) was used up to 500 ppm ai.
