To find some practical remedial methods for chlorotic symptom in peanut, two experiments were conducted in farmer's fields at Tambom Chong Sarika, Amphur Patananikom, Lop Buri Province, in 1984. The characteristics of these soils were black in color, with some grey granules (marl) on the surface and high in pH (7.2 and 7.5) and calcium content (10,600 and 12,600 and 12,600 ppm Ca). The treatments included application of Fe-DTPA at 8 kg/rai, FeSO4 at 3.36 kg/rai, and combinations of some of them. The peanut variety SK 38 was used. Spacing was 30x20 cm, with one plant per hill. Fe-KTPA or combination of chicken manure and FeSO4 could be used for correcting the chlorotic symptom and improving yield of peanut.
