Multilocation trials of corn (Zea mays L.) conducted in a randomized block design with four replications at Muneng, Genteng and Kediri in 1984 to 1987. Varieties evaluated were divided into four groups. Grain yield data were analysed for each environment and then combined over environments. A stability analysis was conducted to obtain information about the stability and grain yield of the corn varieties. Results indicated that there were significant genetic differences among the varieties and a significant interaction between variety and environment. Muneng Syntetic had higher grain yield over environments when compared to variety Arjuna and was classified as a stable variety. Hybrids grain yields were also significantly higher than variety Arjuna yield, however the hybrids were not as stable as Muneng Syntetic except Hybrid CPI. Their deviations from linear regressions of yield over environments were significant. Among early maturing varieties none yielded higher than Arjuna did.
