Major findings were as follows: 1) the content and course description of agricultural subjects in 1981 vocational education curriculum were found to be inappropriate; 2) the teaching and learning agricultural subjects required by the agricultural program of secondary schools in Changwat Uttaradit were emphasized in general agriculture which was not pertinent to students' needs; 3) lack of experience and understanding of the 1981 upper-secondary curriculum by agriculture teachers was found to be the cause of ineffectiveness of teaching and learning agricultural subjects; 4) lack of facilities, teaching materials and equipment, personnel, and budget were found to be problems of secondary schools offering agricultural program in Changwat Uttaradit; 5) all students accepted that the vocational agricultural program was useful. Most of the students felt that they needed to continue their education to the higher level. Recommendations were as follows: 1) vocational agriculture curriculum should be developed by the General Education Department and used only by secondary schools; 2) the secondary schools should arrange agricultural program which was pertinent to the students' needs and offer them more choices of agricultural subjects; 3) the secondary schools that wanted to offer agricultural program should determine the adequacy in facilities, teaching materials and equipment, personnel, and budget; 4) the school personnel responsible for academic affairs should arrange special training concerning with the 1981 upper-secondary curriculum for all agriculture teachers; 5) the agriculture teachers should employ an appropriate teaching method in the particular content and provide the practice in accordance with the theory.
