Biological evaluation of herbicides applied in hemp grown for seed
2009
Heller, K. | Praczyk, M.
The usefulness of herbicides in hemp grown foe seeds was evaluated in pot (2007) and field (2008) experiments. In pot hemp was investigated for its vulnerability to herbicides applied before hemp plants emergence: linuron, pendimetalin glyphosat, trifluralin, acetochlor, or after hemp emergence _ in stage 2-4 leaves: desmediphan, methyl-natrium, iodsulphuron+methyl mezosulphuron, phenmediphan, metamitron, izoproturon, dikamba+tritosulphuron, dikamba, cycloxydym, propachizaphop were used. In field trials, the biological evaluation of herbicide applied before germination in hemp grown for seed was performed. Among herbicides controlling dicotyledonus weeds applied after emergence, only metamitron showed relative selectivity towards protected plant, but this herbicide caused a reduction of hemp yield. Tested graminicides proved to be fully useful for fighting monocyledonous weeds in hemp
