Sheep play an important role in spread Belgrade area (Serbia) in providing animal protein for diet, especially for those people who live in village near Belgrade. Sheep are milked and they produce the bulk milk supply, together with a large proportion of the meat that is consumed. During 2004-2005 we were examined endoparasitic fauna of sheep in spread Belgrade area (Serbia). Coprological, haemathological and post-mortem examination revealed the following parasite species: Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Nematodirus fillicolis, Nematodirus spathiger, Ostertagia circumcint, Haemonchus contortus, Chabertia ovina, Oesophagostomum venulosum, Skrjabinema ovis, and dictyocaulus filaria. Results of therapy with combination of mebendazole and closantel examined by coprological examination revealed that the therapeutic effects were 98%.
