One of the scopes of roentgen diagnostics of the disorders of the skeletal system is to determine the changes in bone structure and shape. Elementary changes of the bone macrostructure occur in the bone trabeculae and these changes can involve one section of the bone, an entire bone or more bones. When in the bone structure pathological changes are seen it is necessary to describe the alterations of the shadow, the contrast and their localization. However, if the changes cannot be clearly identified than a comparation with the healthy parallel limb, or the one belonging to a healthy individual, is needed. In the paper the most relevant pathological changes are described. These include metabolic disorders, endocrinological disorders, aseptic necrosis and arthrosis.
