Cattle breeding is an integral part of the agriculture in many regions part of the world. It is aimed for milk and meat production for humane population. Milk is very important for children but also for the adults through whole their life. Exact evidence is of critical significance for cattle reproduction and enables insight in its efficacy and cost/benefit index. This paper presents results of the follow up study of reproductive index of the breeding cattle herds (number of live calves born, dead-born or aborted calves compared to the total number of cows in reproduction). Fertility index shows efficacy of reproduction and presents number of calves that survived 30 days compared to the total number of cows in reproduction. Paper presents selected cattle reproductive parameters (herd reproductive index and index of fertility) in cows originating from mountain region of Novi Pazar (Serbia).
