With the help of reconstruction and expansion of wastewater treatment plant in Subotica a huge problem of wastewater treatment was solved, processing and disposal of the generated sewage sludge. In the primary and final sedimentation tanks approximately 1000 cubic m of sewage sludge is created a day. The treatment of this sludge involves thickening, stabilization and final dewatering. The aim of this paper is to present the effectiveness of derivative technological line that helps the processing of sludge at the WWTP Subotica, depicting the measurement of dry matter in the raw sludge and thickening after the treatment in 2011.
