The paper is an analysis of effects of location of growth on the oil content and 1000 kernel mass of 10 sunflower hybrids: NS-H-111, NS-H-45, Rimi, Bačvanin, Velja, Krajišnik, Olivko, Somborac, Sremac and Šumadinac. The hybrids were grown under the same agri-technical conditions at seven locations: Rimski Šančevi, Kikinda, Subotica, Sombor, Zrenjanin, Pančevo and Zaječar. It was conluded that, regarding the oil content of analysed hybrids, the best location was Pančevo. Namely, all hybrids grown in this area had the highest content of oil. Locations of Zrenjanin, R. Šančevi and Subotica had the lowest oil content of all analysed hybrids, on average around 48%. Regarding the oil content, the best hybrids were the following: Krajišnik (49,4-56,95%), Olivko (50,31-56,45%) and Bačvanin (51,24-56,03%), while the worst was the Rimi hybrid, with the average oil content in the seed of 44,68%. Furthermore, it was concluded that the hybrids at the Zrenjanin location had the highest value of 1000 kernel mass (40,87-73,50 g), while the Kikinda area was characterized by hybrids of the smallest kernels. On the basis of value of 1000 kernel mass, the best hybrids were Velja (41,12-73,50 g) and Sremac (47,30-72,83 g), while the Olivko hybrid had the lowest value of 1000 kernel mass, on average 43,18 g. Relatively significant effects of hybrids on the oil content and 1000 kernel mass were recorded, which were more important than the effects of locations, namely 2,56 and 1,62 times respectively.
