The severity of forestry mapping is caused not only by high segmentation of forest environment but also by wide content of mapping works. Therefore there is always a need of research of various new mapping methods. The use of global navigation satellite systems is very progressive method in geodesy. The precision, achieved in forest environment, is lower than in open area, due to degradation of satellite signal. While using static method with very short observation period (5 min), the accuracy required for fifth accuracy class (mxy= O.5m), was not achieved. With the use of own base the value of mean position error mxy was O.735m, with the use of virtual base O.757m. This is in wide contrast with values achieved in open area with good signal receiving (O.03lm; O.054m). There is a need to lengthen the observation period to achieve required accuracy.
