Inglés. As in several vegetable species, Fusarium wilt also cause to serious damages in melon species. This situation limits the melon production in some areas of the our country. In this breeding study, haploidization method was prefered which results faster than classic breeding and more pure lines are obtained. In this study, in melons which belong to Yuva- Hasanbey Group, haploid plants were tried to produce.

Bu da yurdumuzun bazı bölgelerinde kavun üretimini sınırlandırmaktadır. Bu ıslah çalışmasında, klasik ıslaha göre daha kısa sürede sonuç veren ve daha yüksek oranda saf hatların elde edilmesini sağlayan dihaploidizasyon yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Yuva-Hasanbey grubuna ait kavunlarda, haploid bitkiler elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
