In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was developed a method of selection of species and varieties of perennial grasses for multicomponent pasture mixtures. The essence of the method was to select species and varieties with asynchronous rhythms of growth at six grazing cycles of grass stands. The most compatible species for multicomponent pasture grass mixtures were white clover (Trifolium repens), perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) and festulolium (Rye fescue) having asynchronous growth rhythms at the formation of grass stands with six cycles of grazing, which made it possible for them to use living conditions fuller and form higher productivity, from 55.1-58.9 c/ha of fodder units containing 36-54% of clover on sandy-loam soils, and up to 91.6 c/ha of fodder units with a share of clover 55.2% on loam soils. Creation of pastures on the basis of multi-component pasture grass mixture with the asynchronous growth rhythms of the components made it possible to fully supply the cattle at a pasture period with green manure and as a result, produce more than 9 tons of milk per hectare with profitability of 59,7%.
