In course of the research there was studied the mass breathability of crushed herbs as well as of wall area ground of horizontal storages. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of the experimental studies it was revealed, that speed of air filtration in mass from the crushed grasses and grounds changed in direct ratio to gradients of a pressure and could be expressed the law of water filtration in grounds (Darcy's law). At consolidation the factor of air permeability of mass from the crushed grasses and grounds changed on nonlinear dependence. Air permeability in a range of reduction of mass porosity from the crushed grasses most intensively decreased from 0.82 till 0.77, after that intensity sharply decreased. At ground consolidation their air permeability also decreased, however character of process differed from mass from the crushed grasses. Air ground permeability in bigger degrees depended on humidity which defined their active porosity. Air ground permeability remained very high: considerably above, than their water penetration that caused penetration of air into a trench through a wall area ground under the influence of temperature gradients. It was proposed the coefficient dependences of breathability from porosity of the sample at different humidity.
