Correlación entre distintos métodos analíticos para las determinaciones de contenido en aceite y humedad en aceitunas
2011
Peçi, E.
In this Memory, simple and multiple linear regression equations were proposed among different methods determining the oil content and humidity in olives. Different olive varieties were used, collected from October 2010 to March 2011. The experiments were performed in the laboratories of the Almazara Experimental from the Instituto de la Grasa, belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). The aims of this work were to obtain the predictive models for total oil content by Soxhlet method, the partial oil content by the Abencor method and moisture content in olives. 51 samples were analyzed to compare oil contents by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Near Infrared (NIR), Autelec, Soxhlet and Abencor methods, and in 74 samples moisture content was studied determined by the NIR method and dryed in an oven at 105º C. All the samples were analysed in triplicate. Another main objective was to predict results from the official Soxhlet method from results obtained using other analytical methods showing advantages with respect to speed, safety, sample manipulation, etc. The results obtained from RMN, NIR and Autelec made us to propose them as standardized methods to determine total oil content. Similarly, we intended to predict the Abencor or oil yield data from results obtained using other analytical techniques. They were very relevant as the Abencor method provides data on oil yield while the others supply data on total oil content. Finally, the use of NIR has been proposed as a standard method, from the correlation study of moisture between the NIR and the oven drying method, due to the advantages it shows.
