This paper presents the impact of unfavorable factors ecological, air temperature and precipitation on grain yield of maize hybrids from different maturity groups. The tests were performed in 2012, at the site of Solin (soil type humogley) observed hybrids are characterized by a high genetic potential for yield and belong to different groups (FAO 400, 500 and 600). Sowing was performed at three densities (20 cm, 22 cm and 24 cm), together with the standard EMS. In the year with insufficient rainfall and high temperatures in air for months important vegetation corn grain yield was significantly reduced compared with the average. The results showed that grain yield differences between hybrids of different maturity groups as well as the densities of the individual groups. The highest yield was achieved with high density study of 64 935 plants per hectare with the hybrid FAO 500 (6210 kg/ha) and hybrid FAO 600 (6120 kg/ha), and the lowest grain yield (4650 kg/ha) at the highest density of 71429 plants per hectare with the hybrid FAO 600.
