Stribeck's curve describes the tribological behavior of the system in a wider area of work, which identified three basic modes of lubrication - boundary, mixed and hydrodynamic lubrication regime, through the functional relationship between the friction coefficient and the speed of the moving element or Hersey number. Stribeck's curve was first developed for journal bearing and later applied to other tribological systems (ball bearings, seals, wet clutches, piston pumps, hip joints, etc.). In this paper, the effects of various parameters such as slenderness ratio, oil viscosity and load bearing, on Stribeck's curve are considered. Boundary lubrication regime is not clearly manifested because it fits the area of small speeds. Mixed lubrication regime is described approximately by linear dependence between friction and speed. The lift-of speed, which determine the to the separation of sliding surfaces bearings is determined on the basis of Vogelpohl's empirical equation. Hydrodynamic lubrication regime was solved by using the classical Reynolds equation for the infinitely long bearing.
