The contribution deals with economic effectiveness and results of agricultural enterprises farming in different natural conditions. In majority events there are noticeable differences between economic indicators reached in productive and less favoured areas. The level of economic indicators of agricultural enterprises farming in less favoured areas is by 20-35 % lower than average results of Slovak agriculture. Selected economic indicators shared only with 30% (value added) or 50 % (production) on the value of particular indicator calculated for productive areas.
