Etiology of kiwifruit crown and root fungal pathogens in North of Iran.

Kiwifruit due to cost and export; is one of the most important products in Mazandaran province. During last years some decline and wilt with crown and root rot were seen in Kiwifruit vines in east of Mazandaran and west of Guilan provinces. To identify the pathogens sampling from root and crown of infected vines were done. Samples were transferred to laboratory and pathogens were isolated, purified and identified. From 57 Isolates 11 following species were Isolated and their pathogenesity were studied on kiwifruit vines. Phytophthora citrophthora, Armillaria mellea, Pythium ultimum var. sporangiferum, Fusarium solani, Phytophthora sp., Bipolaris sp., Fusarium sp., Rhizoctonia sp., Pestalotiopsis sp., Phoma sp., Macrophomina sp.
