Bio-efficacy of allzyme solid state fermentation on growth performance of broilers

The experimental trial was conducted to determine the bio-efficacy of Allzyme Solid State Fermentation (SSF) on growth performance of broilers such as body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and slaughtering parameters. In total 207, one day old broiler chicks were used in experiment for 35 days. All the chicks were randomly divided in to three treatments with three replicate under each dietary treatment and each replicate consisted of twenty three birds. Three experimental feeds were prepared for the starter (0-4 weeks) and finisher (5th week) phases, separately. Three feeds consisted of positive control feed (Normal feed); Negative control feed having 50 kcal less metabolizable energy and the third one was the Negative control diet supplemented with Allzyme SSF (200g/ton of feed). Weekly weight gain and daily feed intake per replicate were noted throughout the experiment. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) was calculated. At the end of experiment three birds were slaughtered at random from each replicate to analyze percentage of bone, meat and weight of different body parts and organs. Results of experiment showed that the weight gain, feed intake, FCR and slaughtering parameters of chicks fed on Allzyme SSF supplemented diet showed homogeneity (P greater than 0.05) with positive control and negative control fed chicks. Economic evaluation of study revealed that dietary supplementation of Allzyme SSF results in reduced the cost of feed per kg up to 0.64 rupee and saving per kg weight gain was found 1.17 rupees. A farmer keeping 10,000 birds can save Rs.20475 by using the Allzyme SSF. It is concluded that diet supplemented with Allzyme SSF showed at par growth performance best economic efficiency in broiler chicks as compared to positive control diet.
