Hop growing is one of important branches in Slovenian agriculture. New technologies in hops preservation and excessive production of hops in the last few years give rise to surpluses of products on global market and increased stocks of hops. With ban of antibiotics in animal nutrition in EU the economics of animal production is reduced. For this reason effective substitutes for banned antibiotics
