A new head cabbage variety Paldiner suitable for early field production with spring sowing was developed. The basic priorities of variety Paldiner were smaller leaf rosette, higher average head weight of 1.780 kg, shorter vegetation period of 66 days, better cracking resistance and higher ascorbic acid content. Differences in plant high, rosette leaf size and degree of blistering, colour and intensity of colour of the rosette leaf were recorded in comparison of the new genotype and the example variety Ditmarsko.
