Bacterial wilt disease caused by P. solanacearum had decreased the ginger production in central production at Bengkulu. Assessment of culture technique of ginger var. Gajah at suppressive land was done to evaluate growth and yield response and infection level of P. solanacearum. Technique culture that used in this experiment were using coffee leaf mulch, coffee chaff mulch, inter cropping between big (Gajah) ginger + leek, inter cropping big between (Gajah) ginger + red ginger and control. Randomized block design was used with 3 times replications. The analyses were recorded on plant height, leaf number, shoot number, rhizome number, fresh weight of root, fresh weight of plant biomass, fresh weight of rhizome, dry weight of root, dry weight of plant biomass, number of plant infected, percentage of plant infected and percentage of plant infected decreasing. The treatments of coffee leaf mulch and coffee chaff mulch showed the best influence on growth and percentage of plant infected decreasing. Coffee leaf mulch and coffee chaff mulch had reduced 40.00 percent and 46.67 percent of diseases respectively, while inter cropping between big (Gajah) ginger + leek and inter cropping between big (Gajah) ginger + red ginger were 24.45 percent and 8.89 percent. The result from contrast orthogonal analyses between mulch and inter cropping treatments had reduced 43.33 percent and 16.67 percent of diseases, respectively.
