Segregation in population hybrid begins from F2 to next 4-5 generations (F5 F6). In this investigation 54 F2 population, that had been received from KARAJ (SPII) were evaluated for suitable traits, 44 among which were selected, 33 entries were selected from 36 F3 and 27 crosses lines from different families were selected from 40 F4 generation, and 15 crosses lines were selected from 15 F5 generation, from the modified bulk methods were used to select superior plants/lines from F2 to F6 and 6 lines of F6 was selected keeping their pedigree and parentage. Each entries was planted in 6 rows, 9 meters length, Bahman CB-74-2 cultivar were planted after each 20 genotypes as checks. Key words: barley Segregation generation selection Cold region
