In this study the effect of conventional terbinthine exploitation on the bark redress mechanism and on the longevity of wild pistachio was examined. A implementing plan was done in split plot design, in which A factor was diameter classes(20-30,31-40,41-50, 50 cm) and B factor was the number of injury (5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,50),in 4 replications which was carried out for 3 years after scratching the bark of trees in 2 occasions (July and august). The quality of terbenthin, the bark redress and longevity was estimated base on analyze of variances. The maximum of terbenthin production belonged to B4 (a tree from diameter class 30- 40 cm) the results showed that, diameter classes were significantly different at 1%. Also in bark redress, a statistical difference was found, the maximum redress was noticed in young trees and adult trees had minimum of redress. Because of high percentage of adult trees in the studied stand and the lack of healing of scratched barks, most of these trees are not suitable for terebinthin. Extraction there was no significant difference in longevity and riability of studied stand trees.
