An experiment was conducted in a randomized completed block designe with factorial treatments in three replication to investigate the effects of different phosphorus and potassium fertilizer levels on alfalfa green fodder. The study was performed with two factors such as phosphorus and potassium. Phosphorus levels (P2O5) from triple super phosphate (TSP) source were (0, 45, 90, 135) Kg/ha and potassium levels (K2O) from sulfate of potash (SOP) were (0, 50, 100) Kg/ha. All treatments were applied only at first year just befor sowing, According to the results, green fodder yield increased during the first three years and decreased after the 3rd year. Investigation of the main effect of phosphorus and potassium showed that application of phosphorus lead to low K cocentration and potassium application decreased P application at medium to high levels, but was not increased significantly due to K application. The interaction effects of (P*K) indicated that the P application with out any K application had no significant effect on green fodder, but application of 135 Kg/ha P2O5 with 50 0r 100 Kg/ha K2O increased green fodder yield significantly.
