Studying the efficacy of some fungicides against Peronospora tabacina the causal agent of tobacco blue mold.

Blue mold is one of the most important diseases that attacs tobacco fields each year and in favorite conditions it would cause great economic losses. In this study the efficacy of some fungicides against tobacco blue mold was evaluated. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized blocks design with 10 treatments. The fungicides that were tested on Burly 21 tobacco variety in seedbed and field included Mealaxyle mancozeb(Ridomil MZ:750, 1000 and 1250 gr/ hec.), Iprovalicarb(Melody due: 2250, 3000 and 3750 gr/hec.) and Famoxadone+ Cymoxanil( Equation pro: 300, 400 and 500 gr/hec.). The results of two consecutive years of experiments in seedbed and field showed that Ridomil MZ dosages had the best controlling effect and than Melody Due (3750 gr/hec.) relatively controlled the disease.
