The Codification of standards to determine of rice potential and damage assessment both managing and natural factors separately in different growth stages.

Crops insurance is one of the most important policies to support in agriculture development in some countries that protects them with risk reduction by farmers against production decrease related with natural damages. In present condition, damage assessment is fulfilled in periodic visits by assessors (particularly at harvest time) relevant to insurance box and negotiation between insurance maker and farmers. This trend led to wrong (mistake) assessments for high visiting, high cost of performance and lack of standard and technical directions for assessors. This study was carried in order to diagnosis and determining of necessary criteria to separate of manage and natural factors in yield decreasing, supply of standard and applied technical directions for faciliting to the decision by farmers and the estimate of probably crop decrease in effect of both manage and natural factors. For achieving to these targets, following scientific sources were used: a) The Books and international scientific documents b) Final reports and documents of RRII c) Field assessments in cases that there were not any findings records in national and international scientific sources or domestification of an international scientific finding. Collection of documents and conducting of activities were base on following axes: Rice damaged farms assessment methodology, Rice nursery standards and protection it against prejudicial factors, Rice damage evaluation on the base of panicle external symptoms, main rice insects emphatically on stem borer, rain damage in rice without observance of chilling stress, lodging damage, drought stress, diagnosis of the most important sign of deficiency and excess of main nutrients, salt stress (symptoms and damages), acquaintance with the most important rice cultivars in IRAN, sampling methods (measurement) in order to damage assessment, practical method to estimate of rice yield in farm.
