The use o herbal compounds is one o the alternative methods are proposed or Methyl bromide and phosphine replacement. So ar, many studies related to the insecticidal properties o plant products are done. But the commercial ormulation o herbal insecticides with acceptable pest control eicacy in have not been presented expect very ew cases. In this study, the eicacy o a commercial ormulation o the herbal insecticide (Zharjak®) or control o two species o stored products pest, including conused lour beetle (Tribolium conusum) and our spotted bean weevil (Callosobruchus maculatus) o Tehran and Qazvin population were evaluated. The contact toxicity o this compound (in tree doses, 1.5, 2 and 2.5%) were compared with a recommended synthetic insecticide or storage pests (pirimyphos methyl with dose 0.4%) and a other herbal insecticide (Palizin® with dose 2.5%) was tested in our replicates. Also persistence insecticidal eect o Zharjk® Ater 72 hours o spraying and subsequent release o adult on treated surace, mortality o adults were recorded. The results showed that, treatments Zharjak C (2.5%), Palizin and Pirimyphos methy cause to acceptable mortality o T. conusum and C. maculatus adult o Tehran and Qazvin population ater 72 hours, when the adults released on treated surace immediately ater surace treatment. Also Direct spray treatment on insect pest species showed that Zharjak A (2.5%), Zharjak C (2 and 2.5%), Palizin and pirimyphos methyl on Tehran population and Zharjak C (2.5%), Palizin and pirimyphos methyl on Qazvin population have acceptable ability to control o adults. But experiments showed that none o insecticides(except, pirimyphos methyl on Qazvin population) have not suitable persistence to make a signiicant mortality on adults o conused lour beetle and our spotted bean weevil.
