In tested area of northern Khuzestan citrus orchard, the zinc deficiency has been reported. To determine the effects of rates and application methods of ZnSo4 on the yield of orange trees (Citrus sinensis) an experiment in a complete block design with 9 treatments and 3 replications was executed in 3 consecutive years. Treatments included: T1-control T2-100gr ZnSO4 as two holes T3- 200gr ZnSO4 as two holes T4- 300gr ZnS04 as two holes, TS- 200gr ZnSO4 as broadcast T6-300gr ZnS04 as broadcast T7- foliar of 2gr ZnSO4/litter T8-foliar of 4gr ZnSO4/litter T9-foliar of 6gr ZnSO4/liter were applied. Yield and number of fruits per tree were measured. Chemical analyses of leaves showed the deficiency of p, K, Mg, Zn, Mn, Fe and B.Zn foliar application significantly increased the level of leavas zinc The T4 treatment at the end of tree canopy significantly increased the yield and number of fruits (T4=109kg/tree, T1=72kg/tr) and resulted 51/4% yield increase. Compared to T1, Zn fOliar (T7) also increased fruit yield and number significantly. All of the hole space were captured by roots of tree. Balanced nutrition caused larger fruits and increase. of brix index, ascorbic acid and the juice content. This study demonstrated that each year deep placing 0f 300 gr ZnSO4 per tree or Zn foliar(2gr ZnSO4/litter), are the effective methods to obtain high quality and quantity yield in orange tree.
