A scientific experiment has been conducted on two batches of bee colonies with queens of the same age kept at the same apiary to ascertain the reliability of the advantages of queen daughters produced from instrumentally inseminated queens. The queens from the first batch (witness) were daughters of naturally inseminated queens. The queens from the second batch were daughters of instrumentally inseminated queens. The queens from both batches were mated naturally. The research has shown that the difference between the bee colonies with the queen-daughters produced from instrumentally inseminated queens and those obtained from naturally inseminated queens is significant and for the better according to biological and morph productive characters. Thus, the bee colonies from the second batch exceeded those from the first one after the tube length by 0.04 mm or 0.6% (P 0.05), overwinter resistance by 4.0 percentage units or 5.0% (P 0.05), colony strength by 0.12 kg or 4.2% (P 0.05), brood viability by 1.9 percentage points or 2.1% (P 0.01), hygienic instinct by 1.8 percentage points or 2.0% (P 0.05), and honey production by 5.3 kg or 12.6% (P 0.01). At the same time, the queens of the bee colonies from the second batch had a tendency to a higher prolificacy (P 0.1).
