Blueberry diseases were investigated in the largest blueberry farms in Latvia. Plantations were evaluated mostly at the harvest time: twigs, leaves, and berries were assessed. The most common diseases found were Godronia canker, Botrytis flower blight, fruit rot, ripe rot. Godronia canker was observed almost in every farm; the most damaged plants were often found in plantations in peat bogs, but less damaged – in mineral soils. Phomopsis blight considered to be a common disease in blueberry production was not found to be a significant problem in Latvia. The most important problem is the lack of fungicides for fruit rot management and possible fungicide resistance risks in blueberry plantations due to a low number of products. There are no options for alternation of fungicide sprays, besides, good sanitary practice is essential.
