In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was created and evaluated new initial material of souft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) for disease resistance, as well as to study the peculiar features of inheritance of characteristics and revelation of heterosis in resistance of hybrid material to a complex of diseases. One of the conditions for successful development of the agricultural sector is the creation and production introduction of new high-yielding, resistant to adverse environmental factors cultivars and hybrids of agricultural crops. The selection fully meets the requirements, allowing us to obtain 20-25% yield increase with no additional cost. To address the challenges we have studied resistance to fungal diseases (powdery mildew, leaf rust, root rot) by first-generation hybrids, and determined the degree of heterosis. The studies have found that the F1 hybrids differ in their resistance to disease and have varying degrees of heterosis. It can be stated that resistance to fungal diseases by F1 hybrids is inherited by the type of over dominance, incomplete positive or negative dominance. Also, an intermediate type of inheritance or depression criterion could be observed.
