In course of the research there was studied the effect of sowing data, seeding rates, doses and timing of nitrogen fertilization on yield and quality of grain of winter rye ( Secale cereale) hybrid varieties Plisa. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus on sod-podzolic light loamy soil in 2009-2012. As a result of realized research there was revealed the optimum sowing rate for hybrid cultivar Plisa - 350 seeds per 1 square m at optimal sowing date - 6.6 c/ha, at late sowing date – 8.3 c/ha due to which the greatest yield increase was obtained. Adding an extra dose of nitrogen (N30) in the flag leaf stage had a positive impact on the productivity of the studied varieties and grain protein content. Increase productivity with optimum sowing time was 1.0-3.5 t/ha, with late - 1.1-2.1 t/ha, an increase in protein content - 0.2-0.4% and 0.1-0.3%, respectively. Fourteen-day delay with sowing term had negative effect on the yield. Effect of sowing, seed and nitrogen fertilizer on grain protein content of winter rye (average for 2010-2011) was presented.
