Some trace elements have long been known, but only recently they have been recognized as substances indispensable to life. These elements include chromium, involved in the metabolism of proteins, fats, carbohydrates. In this paper we present data from studies on the effect of different doses of chromium on a number of hematological factors in sows: erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin, calcium, phosphorus, glucose, total protein. Experimental evidence has shown positive effect of chromium on the stud-ied parameters.
