The article presents the results from a study of radiological situation in animal farming in Khoiniki district, Gomel region. The radiological situation is gradually improving. It has been established that grain, potatoes and vegetables satisfy cesium-137 content standards. Density of radionuclides in milk and beef is decreasing. Excess content of Sr-90 has been observed in grain used for production purposes. Since 2000 there has been a tendency to increase in animal production. At the enterprises under study provision for increasing milk yields and animal body-weight has been found. The economic effectiveness of milk, beef and pork pro-duction has been evaluated
