Natural water resources have different biological productivity, supposing ability to supply within vegetation period pointed weight gain of live organic substance per one unit area. Fish productivity appears one of the components of biological productivity. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the fish productivity depend on the following water reservoir's peculiarities: physical and chemical characteristics, feed resources presence, growth conditions, composition of fish community. Every water reservoir possesses internal natural fish productivity, depending on biological status of water reservoir. The article reviews the problems of fish productivity formation in lakes, depending on the food supply level and efficient nutritive resources utilization by the fish. Calculation of the influence of zooplankton production on weight gain of plankton-feeding fishes is made; estimation of the use of zoobenthos production on weight gain of benthophages is suggested; the number of production and consumption of feeding communities of invertebrate and fish biomass in eutrophic lakes of the Republic of Belarus is measured.
