Stem cuttings appears one of the most effective methods of plant propagation, providing receiving of large-volume planting material. Introduction of the tropical and subtropical plants in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus requires special technology of growing, in particular, treatment of the cuttings with special growth stimulants. The results of the study of the influence of growth factors on rooting of stem cuttings of 19 species of woody greenhouse plants, prospective for phytodesign, are presented in the article. Ecological and geographical characteristics and vital form of tropical and subtropical plants, supposed to be used for phytodesign, are described. Morphological parameters of the process of rooting of cuttings of the greenhouse cultivars treated with different growth stimulants are analyzed. Physical configuration of the 60-days plants, dressed with different substances, is displayed. It is shown that the treatment of the cuttings with 170 mg/l water solution of indole acetic acid (IAA) with 16 hours exposure as well as dusting the bottom of the cuttings with IBA powder increased rooting percentage in the majority of tested species compared to the control on 3.3-57.1% and 3.3-100% respectively. Treatment of the plants with Hydroxicinnamic acid (0.1 mg/l) and succinic acid (200 mg/l) water solutions for 16 hours had both positive and negative effects on rooting of tropical and subtropical plant cuttings, depending on plant species.
