Medicinal plants appear a serious direction of scientific researches in the Republic of Belarus due to their multiple therapeutic effects (adaptogenic, immune-stimulating, sedative). The most important plants appear introduced ones. Upon the base of the raw materials of cultivated drug plants deep researches of biological properties and biochemical composition of the most essential of them are carried out. One of the medicinal plants introduced in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus appears Patrinia intermedia (Hornem.) Roem et Schult.), exponent of valerian family (Valerlanaceae) and exceeding valerian 1.5-2 up to 5 times by sedative effect. The main goal of the research is evaluation of the success rate of the introduction of the Patrinia intermedia in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus, development of the technology of its plantation cultivation and receiving of the raw materials for the implementation in pharmacological practice for the development of drug substances. General characteristics of biometric and qualitative indexes of the seeds of Patrinia intermedia taking into account the terms of storage are suggested. Analysis of the seeds, plants and roots of the Patrinia of the first vegetation year is made. Conditions of the natural growing and morphological characteristics of the plants are evaluated; specificity of biomass formation at different development stages during cultivation in artificial conditions is analyzed.
